The SCOTT Ransom 920 is built for riders who want maximum downhill confidence paired with the versatility to tackle massive climbs, technical enduro stages, and aggressive all-mountain terrain. Engineered around SCOTT’s latest gravity-focused platform, the Ransom 920 blends progressive geometry, advanced suspension kinematics, and durable component choices into a bike designed to thrive when the trails become steep, rough, and fast.

At the heart of the bike is SCOTT’s Ransom Carbon HMF main frame paired with a robust Alloy 6061 swingarm. Combined with Integrated Suspension Technology and a sophisticated 6-link suspension layout, the chassis delivers impressive downhill stability, traction, and control while still maintaining efficient pedaling characteristics for long days in the mountains. The result is a bike that feels planted and composed through rough terrain without becoming sluggish on climbs or transitions.

Suspension duties are handled by a 170mm RockShox Zeb Select+ fork featuring the Charger 3 damper alongside a FOX Float X Nude rear shock with SCOTT’s TracLoc remote system. Riders can instantly switch between Climb, Ramp Control, and Descend modes to adapt the bike’s suspension characteristics for changing terrain and riding demands. Whether grinding uphill or charging into technical descents, the Ransom remains balanced, supportive, and confidence inspiring.

The geometry is purpose-built for modern enduro riding, combining high-speed stability with agility in tighter terrain. Adjustable head angle settings, mullet wheel compatibility, and advanced shock adaptability allow riders to fine-tune the bike’s handling to match personal preferences or race conditions.

A SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain delivers reliable shifting performance across demanding terrain, while SRAM DB8 four-piston brakes paired with oversized 200mm rotors provide dependable stopping power for steep descents and heavy braking zones. Maxxis Assegai and Dissector tires mounted to Syncros Revelstoke tubeless-ready wheels further reinforce the bike’s aggressive gravity intentions with exceptional grip and durability.

SCOTT also incorporates thoughtful integration features throughout the frame. Internal storage within the downtube houses the Syncros Matchbox Kit for carrying essential repair tools and ride necessities without the need for additional packs or straps. Integrated cable routing creates a clean and quiet cockpit, while the adjustable travel Syncros Duncan dropper post helps optimize rider positioning on technical terrain.

The SCOTT Ransom 920 is a highly capable carbon enduro bike engineered for riders who prioritize downhill performance, suspension versatility, and all-day confidence across demanding mountain terrain.

Garmin has been a super disappointment.
Style: Alpha TT 25
FOR THE REMOTE: For reasons I cannot fathom as a software developer, the Garmin developers chose to program the handheld to wait for GPS lock before allowing you to control the collar. This is stupid beyond belief and causes frustration that simply shouldn't be. Look Garmin, the remote should be able to communicate with the collar first and foremost. I want to be able to power everything up, put the collar on the dog, and walk out the door. If my dog sees a rabbit or deer, I want to be able to remind him not to chase. I DON'T want to stand there staring at my remote greeted by the message "Waiting for GPS" with all the buttons non-responsive. Fix this! This should be super easy to fix with a firmware update. Fix it and I'll gladly give this unit 10 stars! GPS is way too finicky to have to wait for it before using the basic controls. Update: SERIOUSLY!! HOT GARBAGE. This remote couldn't find a satellite if I stuck one up its... AGH.. and you can't communicate with your dog's collar until it does. FOR THE COLLAR: You won't be happy with the beeper.. It's super quiet. The light is an awesome feature. Vibration may work for your dog, mine doesn't seem to notice it at all. If the antenna was any longer it would pick up signals from outer space. Buy the shorter one if you decide to go with this unit and don't need to keep your dog from crossing an ocean. Seriously though... I'll never buy anything Garmin again. I would recommend you don't either.

Works Great, Use Daily, No Issues
Style: Alpha TT 25
While expensive, this product is rock-solid and has not given me a single issue over 2 years of use. Would buy again, highly satisfied. Can't beat the functionality or peace of mind of knowing right where our beloved family pet and hunting companion is located.

Great little radio, it was.
Great value for the price. I have received excellent audio reports on a couple repeaters I have tested on so far, on the first day with the radio. Love how you can customize all the display background and text colors. Tempature sensing fan works properly. Unfortunately, they do not send a programming cable with this radio, very annoying! It will not save offset and t-ctcs tone into memory mode when programming by hand, which is unfortunate because it is easier to program by hand than some other cheap radios, like the Baofeng keypad. I really wanted to upload all my channels via Chirp, and to make sure Chirp is actually supported before posting review, but it is what it is, and now I have to find a proper programming cable, then hope I did not pick one that does not work. Other than this very disappointing fact, this radio is well worth the money and I highly recommend if you are on a budget or just getting into the hobby. I have mainly been working HF since getting my General ticket and have made contact all over the world, so you can rest assured this review is by someone who knows what they are talking about. Grab one while you can, you will not be disappointed, except for them not including a programming cable! Edit: Have to return, squelch not working on second day. Right in the middle of a net, had to use monitor button to finish my contact. Turn monitor off and the receiver will not open squelch, which is set to 1. Can set squelch to 0 and receive but anyone who runs VHF/UHF knows that, unlike HF, an open squelch is just too noisy. Spent hours trying to fix, no joy! 73, Stephen
